So he was in 30% and i basically carried him to almost 100% that day. The thing is he died in early stages of the bosses and i finished them because when one player dies the damage you do go back to normal. I say that because last weekend i went to my friends house and i was playing with his little brother. But you'll probably have to wait months from now sonce there are still bugs to be fixed, language support lacking and Mac port is likely a higher priority too. The game was made with co-op in mind since it was based on the brothers chad and jared playing co-op as kiddies (plus they credit Mugman in the story rather than making cuphead the star, despite being the titular character), and they said they'd like to get it online as well if it's feasible. Overall it is easier thanks to revives though (which could be changed to be more limited). It also wouldn't carry the person through A-rank achievements since both players' health count for the score card. But thats only my opinion The bosses have increased health on co-op so if one person is much worse than the other then the "carry" will have a more difficult time than playing solo. I honestly think cuphead online coop would make the game too easy also and the achievemebts would lose their meaning for me, because you could simply call someone random thats already very good at the game to carry you through it. Imo i think the game is already good for itself and they should focus on fixing glitches. You'll be able to play with the standard Joy-Cons, but we aren't 100 percent positive if there will be support for the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller since that information is not listed on the eShop.Originally posted by Hammer:No one knows when or if the online coop will be implemented. Local co-op for Cuphead will be playable in both tablet and TV docked modes. So local co-op is still the best way if I want to play with a friend? It can still definitely happen since they're bringing in Xbox Live features, so we'll see. There is always the possible issue of latency and lag with online co-op, and Cuphead is a difficult game that's all about precision during those epic boss battles. While they could potentially add online multiplayer co-op for Cuphead with the future cross-play features, we're not sure how well it would perform. This is a given considering that other cross-play games, such as Minecraft, have achievements that sync back to your Xbox Live account. From what we can gather, the Xbox Live cross-play functionality will include achievements, at the very least.
